ECHOES Project meets in The Netherlands

On the 28th of June, the project Empowering Communities with a Heritage Open Ecosystem (ECHOES) was presented in Leiden (Netherlands) to Dutch technology companies.

The main objectives of ECHOES were highlighted in the presentation, which include the opening of digital heritage collections to the world and its linking, to develop an extensible modular architecture, and to innovate in new ways of displaying information.

The phases of the project, the architecture and the technologies used, the development of the pilot, the challenges that have arisen during the project and its resolution have also been covered in the meeting.

On the 29th of June, the day after the presentation, the Consortium of the ECHOES project, made up of the Dutch institutions Erfgoed Leiden in Omstreken (ELO) and Tresoar, the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Diputació de Barcelona and CSUC, met to follow up and define additional requirements and functionalities to continue with the development.
